Stateside DJ from Phoenix, Arizona.
Long time Junglist that dabbles in Neurofunk here and there. Lived in the desert rave scene in the mid and late 90s and still prefer the underground scene over the mainstage biz. Nothing against mainstage, just a preference. The song that did me in, drew me out of the standardized music pool, was in '95 when I first heard Come Back to Me by Bizzy B and Cool Hand Flex. At first, I didn't know what the aim of the song was, but I couldn't get it out of my head for days. I kept coming back to the track and found myself falling down a rabbit hole full of amen breaks, experimental sounds, and lush bass. By the late 90s I was full sail into mixing Jungle and DnB. I try to keep that '95 mindset when I mix today.
Joining the After Dark Radio crew was a dream come true and I find it a bit surreal to be included on this team. Not forsaking my After Dark broadcasts, I'm a regular contributor to the Best Drum & Bass podcast with Abducted Ltd. here stateside, get to join forces with the Stonx Music raid trains for some Neuro and nutso Junglism, and contribute to the Drum & Bass Proper mix catalogue.
Current format is digital for a variety of reasons, but the vinyl junkies here at After Dark provide the repertoire that completes me. Follow my Linktree or jump right into my Soundcloud library if you get a chance.
