Aubrey Teknocracy (AKA Aubrey King) has shown a keen interest in the rise of rave & club culture since its birth in the mid-eighties. An avid vinyl collector, DJ & musician, music is his life & passion. In 2001, after years of nagging from friends he finally brought a pair of decks. After a successful first set in a pub in Peckham, south-east London, he continued to DJ at many private parties throughout the South East.
In 2005 he co-founded the "Spread The Word" party organisation with The Goose (AKA Duncan Smith) after winning a monthly residency at the Horse & Groom pub in Horsham, West Sussex. They literally turned this town pub into a nightclub every month for the next two & a half years! Specialising in Trance, Hard Dance & Techno it proved to be one of the most popular nights out you could find in Horsham.
After being introduced to
Adam Lincoln by the mysterious Techno Fluffer in 2006, a new friendship was born and Adam invited Aubrey to join his band Teknocracy in 2013. It seemed logical that the next step of the pair's journey would be to start up a record label & production outlet & so
Pie Factory Productions was finally born in 2014.
With 5 releases under their belt & more to follow, 2017 is shaping up well, especially with the announcement that Adam, Aubrey & the ever-mysterious Techno Fluffer will be curating their own
Teknocracy Radio Show on After Dark Radio.
Expect to hear quality Techno - new releases mixed with a few classics - but most of all just great tracks that are on Teknocracy's radar!
